Thoughts from a 21st century educator.

Ventures in Learning Technology (ETEC 522)

Reflection: ETEC 522 - Ventures in Learning Technology (elective course)

I took ETEC 522 in the fall of 2008, and it was the first course where I felt I was fully committed to the program.  In the previous two semesters I was also working on co-authoring a textbook which ate up a bunch of my time.  This course also ran in a blog format, which was different than all of the other courses.  I enjoyed this format, although it did mean using some external programs like an RSS reader to organize the information more effectively.

Artifact: Venture Pitch

This is a pitch we were supposed to make to promote either a real or a hypothetical product we have created. It was a useful learning exercise in the sense that it got my feet wet in video editing, and in understanding venture pitches. Obviously I recognize that this pitch is far too long, and a 30 second version of this pitch would be far more effective!

Artifact: ETEC Module 11 (Group work)

Here is our artifact we created for the section of the ETEC 522 course that we taught.
