New #BCed chat: What is the relationship between assessment and learning?

On this coming Monday night, from 7pm to 8pm PST, Mr. Wejr and myself are planning a Twitter discussion about the relationship between assessment and learning. The topic is fairly broad, and should allow for anyone interested in assessment to participate.

Make sure to use the # hashtags in your tweets if you are participating, and watch out for daylight savings time. We'll both make sure to announce the chat during the day.

Participation in the Virtual Staffroom podcast - Re-thinking #edchat?

Last night @ invited me to join a Virtual Staffroom podcast.  So I fired up Skype and accepted an invite from someone I didn't really know before, @.  I was following him but I don't think we had chatted much before last night.

Using #edchat to take action

Today's # on Twitter was about how we can break free of the echo chamber that is #.  We all have great ideas, but how can we turn those great ideas into action?  Our objective is not to stop our great conversations but to also move beyond our conversations into concrete action.

Really interesting conversation on #edchat on Twitter

I participated for the first time a couple of days ago in this # phenomena happening on Twitter.  Basically the idea is, everyone heads to the search page on Twitter and starts having a conversation through Twitter using the hashtag #.  The resulting conversation is recorded and has many people who can listen in on the conversation, and everyone is free to jump in if they want.
